Exciting 57th Annual 3 Peaks Race
The gruelling Three Peaks Race for over 24 miles runs over the three peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Penyghen. Generating interest from athletes and runners in Europe, the race completes 57 years in 2011.
In 1954 there were only 6 participants but it has come over a long way with over 2,000 participants at one race. For safety and security measures, the ceiling for participants has been set at 999 individuals. One of the bets classic races in the UK events calendar which has the runners aspiring for a place to compete. The best aspect that allures participants is the adventure and the challenging roué that meanders over some of the most scenic Yorkshire countryside, apart from the race’s sponsorship, history and superb performances.
Currently, entries are only open online and will end on 31st March or as soon as 999 participants register before the due date of closure.
